Sustainability

EVERYDAY

I am a strong believer in sustainable and ethical practices and this is embedded into my business:

• Where possible I aim to choose sustainable materials and options so that my business has a smaller footprint. I try to support local as often as possible.

• I steer away from processes that are overly wasteful + producing unnecessary waste. I am constantly reviewing my business practices to ensure I’m always choosing the best options for the environment.

• The precious metals I work with are infinitely reusable/recyclable.

• My designs are brought to life in completely refined recycled metals!

• The mining industry is not all glittery gems and shimmery stones. I try to work mostly with Australian Opal for a few reasons; I know where the material is coming from, I know that people are paid well for their work and I know that health and safety is of high priority.

Giving back

I have pledged to give back to the wider community every month. I have made a huge focus on supporting organisations who are helping Indigenous People and communities around Australia.

I make monthly contributions towards the ‘Pay The Rent’ scheme seeing as I work with Opals taken from Australian soil.

BANKING

I have recently made to switch from Commonwealth Bank to Bank Australia. They are a “Customer Owned Bank” and a certified B-Corp business. You can rest assured that by purchasing through me, the money is being held in a responsible bank who are for the people, and for the planet.

Bank Australia does NOT support the following:

  • Live Animal Exports

  • Fossil Fuels

  • Gambling

  • Tabacco

  • Arms/Weapons Indutry
